The kindergarten is a friendly family run setting. The staff are fully qualified nursery nurses and committed to providing an inclusive high quality child centred learning environment for your child and hold qualificiations in special needs. Training and Professional Development are vital to the success of our kindergarten. Staff regularly attend professional training in order to enhance their knowledge and skills promoting continuous quality improvements and higher levels of education and nurturing for the children in our care. Staff tailor the learning and development needs of every child through observation, planning and assessment within the Early Years Foundation Stage. We believe it is fundamentally important to maintain a warm friendly atmosphere so that parents and children feel welcome. We believe that ‘PLAY’ is children’s work, their medium for learning about the world around them. We strive to provide stimulating activities inside and out so that children feel relaxed to experiment and explore their environments. The kindergarten manager on a graduate programme will achieve Early Years Professional Status (EYP) by 2011. This is a new status equivalent to a qualified teacher specialising in the Early Years.

Hollie Walker - Childcare Manager

Qualifications: BA Hons in Early Years, CACHE DCE Lever 3, Playwork Level 2, Working With Children With Special Needs Level 2.

Katie Walker - Deputy Manager

Qualifications: Health and Scocial Care AVCE, NVQ Level 3, Working With Children With Special Needs Level 2. Katie is working towards her Foundation degree in early years practice.

Philipa Parkin - Senior Nursery Nurse

Qualifications: CACHE DCE Level 3
