Meet Our Staff
Mrs Lorraine Pattison - Proprietor
Lorraine began working at the Nursery in 1996 bought the Nursery two years later. She is a qualified Nursery Nurse at level 3 and holds and Advanced Diploma in Early Education and is currently progressing towards a BA Hons Degree. She has been a Lecturer for NorthumberlandCollege teaching Introduction to Child Psychology and Early Years qualifications courses to trainee nursery nurses. Lorraine is also an NVQ Childcare Instructor / Assessor. She still has a major input in the day-to-day running of the Nursery, however presently works as the Workforce Development Co-ordinator responsible for Early Years Training for Northumberland Early Years and Childcare Service.
Miss Hollie Walker
Deputy Manager (Lorraine's daughter) is currently studying towards her degree to become an Early Years Professional, equivalent to a teacher specialising in the Early Years. She is also a fully qualified Nursery Nurse at level 3 and also holds two Institute of Leadership and Management Qualifications. She has a level 2 Play Worker qualification and certificate in Working with Children with Special Needs at level 2. She is also a Paediatric First Aider. Hollie continues to attend training to update her skills and knowledge in Early Years education and childcare. Hollie is also responsible for Health and Safety and Child Protection within the setting.
Mrs Verity Thomson
Verity is a fully qualified Nursery Assistant at Level 2 and is currently working towards her NVQ Level 3 to be completed in 2008. She regularly attends training to update her skills and knowledge for Early Years education and childcare. Verity is the Nursery's Inclusion Officer and also has responsibility for attending Marketing/Promotional Training.
Miss Katie Walker
Katie is a part-time Nursery Assistant and has an Advanced Certificate in Health and Social Care at level 3. Katie is also training towards an accredited Level 3 qualification in Speech and Language to support children with language difficulties and a Level 3 qualification in Special Educational Needs. She regularly attends training to update her skills and knowledge for Early Years education and childcare.
Katie also has responsibilities for co-ordinating healthy eating within the setting.
