Our Philosophy was inspired by Scandinavian influences which encourage children to engage in the natural environment. The kindergarten offers children an indoor outdoor and woodland play learning experience. Friedrich Frobel a well known educationalist was influential in the development of the kindergarten model promoting a child centred approach to learning and encouraging children to develop self expression through play and enjoying nature.
Jane Williams- Siegfredsen from Inside-Out Nature in Denmark opened the Kindergarten and Magic Woods stating: “Recent research studies illustrate that using the outdoors as a learning resource is highly beneficial for physical, mental, social and emotional development in children, young people and adults” www.inside-outnature.com
